On Monday, December 22nd Zack started teething. Jaclyn had mentioned that she thought he was because he was acting fussy and was not eating. Sure enough that night I felt Zack's bottom gum's and I could feel a tooth. Unfortunately on Tuesday when I took him to Bob's parents house to be babysat while I was at work he was in a lot of pain. They said that he cried for 3 hours straight and he only slept for about 10 minutes. Poor little guy. That night he started crying again and we could tell he was in pain but didn't know what to do. We tried Tylenol but it just did seem to work. Finally I went to Walgreen's and got the Teething Tablets that Jaclyn had recommended and within 10 minutes of giving it to him he was out cold.
The good thing about the tablets are they are homeopathic so they don't have any side effects and are all natural. It's a good thing I had the day off on Wednesday because Zack was up until after 1 am. Unfortunately Bob wasn't so lucky. He had the day off but he was on call. At 5 am he had to work on a forklift then again at 9 am. It was a rough night but we made it through and Zack is now the proud owner of his FIRST TOOTH! I've tried to get a picture of it, but it's still small and Zack likes to stick his tongue out when I try to see his tooth. But I can definitely feel it there!
We had a great Christmas but I will save that for another post.

3. I had my appendix taken out in Goshen, Indiana. (It's an amish community)
4. I've never broken a bone. (knock on wood).
5. Bob and I met at Pineview Reservoir.
6. I hate saying prayers in front of people. If I'm asked at church I always decline.
7. I hate watching most sports on TV but I LOVE going to anything sports related.

5 Months
Today Zack is officially five months old! I can't believe that time is going by so fast! But I'll be honest, I love this age. He's interacting more and I'm finally "getting" him. I loved him as a baby but I'm loving this age. I actually can't wait until he's crawling and doing stuff on his own. And I know that everyone says I don't want them to grow up too fast, but I'm excited to play with him, and I know Bob is excited about teaching him sports!
This last month has been a lot of firsts.
- First Thanksgiving.
- First time having some Turkey... Thanks Mom... LOL.
- First time seeing Santa!
- Started eating Rice.
- Started on carrots (today).
- Getting really good at rolling over
- Sitting up on his own for quite a long time.
- Slept through the night the past 4 nights! Let's cross our fingers it sticks.
- Absolutely loves the jumper!
And know for some pictures:
First time seeing Santa. My mom invited us to her ward's Christmas Breakfast. He didn't seem to mind the old man with the long white beard. He did want to pull on that beard and to eat his fingers. But what doesn't Zack want to put in his mouth. LOL.
Next we have Zack exactly 5 months. He's not smiling because he was being cranky today, and I'm lucky to get this picture.
A picture of Zack helping us decorate our tree. Again with everything going into his mouth. I was trying to take the pictures fast. I didn't need our baby electrocuting himself on Christmas lights.
Here is a picture of Deanna feeding Zack his carrots. I was really surprised that he didn't make a face when he first tasted them. He actually didn't seem to mind them at all. He's so funny because I think he would rather eat then drink from a bottle. But he's got to stay on formula until he's a year old... sorry buddy. He's silly when he eats too. I guess since he's starting to eat solids and sitting on his own we'll need to get him a high chair.
And last but not least a comparison to see how much he's grown in just five months. I think it's funny to see how much his hair has grown. We will be getting him a haircut before his next picture, it's just getting too long!

Jumper Zack
About a week ago we borrowed a jumper from my good friend in the neighborhood. Bob's mom has been telling us for a while now how much Bob loved being in the jumper when he was a baby and since Zack loves to bounce we finally got him one to try. AND HE LOVES IT! He will sit in it for a quite a while (on baby terms). He's so good at jumping too.
So here is a little video of Zack in his Jumper. The lighting is pretty bad, because it was later in the evening and for some reason my camera needs TONS of light. So I set up a lamp on him.

So here is a little video of Zack in his Jumper. The lighting is pretty bad, because it was later in the evening and for some reason my camera needs TONS of light. So I set up a lamp on him.

NKOTB - go ahead be jealous!
On the 15th I went to the New Kids on the Block Concert. Yeah your jealous aren't you! I'll go ahead and say yes I WAS a fan! I'm not going to run out and buy any of their new stuff. But I have fond memories of the New Kids! I missed the first concert 15-18 years ago so I was so excited when Deanna called to see if I wanted free tickets. Yes my friends I said FREE! Oh yeah and we were on the floor. Granted we were about 8 rows from the back but we were on the FLOOR! It was so much fun. We danced, we sang and we had a blast! My sisters are totally fun to hang out with. My aunt also went. It was also her birthday so Happy Birthday to you, indeed! My cousin was there (she took the pictures below with my sisters' camera) but she didn't go with us. She also had WAY better seats then we did. But who cares ours were FREE!
The concert opened with Lady Gaga. She was pretty good. I would describe her as a mix between Madonna and Christina Agulera (sp?). I actually knew one of her songs.
The next opener was Natasha Bedingfield. She was good, but the set was pretty boring. I knew a few more of her songs. Especially since I love The Hills and the opening song is one of hers.
Then finally NKOTB!
Like I said these pictures were taken by my cousin because she was so much closer. I took some pictures but they were blurry and just not very good.
Recognize this move? They did a bunch of their old song and their old moves! Loved it!
In the middle of the set NKOTB preformed a few songs in the middle of the arena so we actually got pretty close! I always thought that Jordan was the cute one. But after seeing them, I'm leaning toward Donnie... yum.
And guess who we saw.... David Archuleta. I'm not a fan of his or American Idol but just the fact that we say someone "famous" was pretty cool!
The funniest part of the show was when Jordan did a Sole. (Donnie, Joey and Jordan all had soles). He stood at the top of the stairs with his shirt open and the "wind" was blowing. I couldn't help but laugh. And the girls went wild!
So that is my review-ish of NKOTB. It was a lot of fun and I'm so glad that I could go! Thank Deanna!!!

Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving my mom challenged my family to take pictures throughout the entire month of things that we are Thankful for. On Thanksgiving we are going to show our pictures either creatively with on a CD, a scrapbook or just the old fashion pictures. I've been pretty diligent in taking pictures each day. But I'll admit it's hard to come up with 27 things to be Thankful for. So I need your help. Tell me what you are thankful for. (I have most of the obvious - Bob, Zack, Abbie, Home... etc.)

4 Months
I didn't forget to do a post 4 months update. I was waiting until we went to his 4 month appointment to get all his stats. And I must say he is growing like a weed (literally!)
STATS:
Weight: 15.9 lbs
Length: 27 inches!!!
At his last appointment he was only 23.5 inches long. He had a huge growth spurt. His height puts him above the 95 percentile. He's off the charts! The doctor recommended getting him a basketball! LOL.
He did pretty good with his shots. Cried for a minute then he was good. He did get pretty cranky in the middle of the day. It was so sad, because I could tell it was his legs that hurt because when I would try to pick him up he would just cry harder. Poor little guy. I gave him some Tylenol and we layed down on the couch for the next 3 hours. It was good cuddle time.
New Things Zack has been doing:
- He laughes more. Yesterday he was playing with my mouth by putting his fingers in my mouth and he was just laughing. It's so cute what entertain him!
- Love playing with his toes.
- Sitting by himself a little longer but not quite by himself yet.
- Loves playing with his toys.
Zack has also started being babysat during the day while I am at work. As far as I know he's done pretty well. I hope that as he gets older that continues.
And here is a comparison picture.

Monkey'ing around
Happy Halloween. This post is a little bit late, but better late then never right... LOL.
And Bob was Bob (scary!)
We had a lot of fun for Zack's first Halloween. We went to the ward Trunk or Treat. Where Bob took Zack to most of the cars for candy. Zack hadn't slept much that day so he was pretty tired and ornery. I just handed candy out at the car. But it was okay because I could watch Bob and Zack going around to the cars. Next year will be much more fun because Zack will hopefully be walking.
After Trunk or Treat we went to my mom's house where we entertained My mom, Gma, Gpa and Jo. Zack is great for entertaining. We also ate pizza and watched Halloween movies.
