New Changes

It's been an exciting week for our family. I got a new Sister in Law and a New Niece!

My brother Russell and Arielle finally got married. I only say finally because they were suppose to be Married on June 24th but Russ needed a letter from our churches First Presidency giving him permission to marry in the temple a second time. Unfortunately they didn't receive the letter before the wedding date. So we had a Party (reception) they went on their Honeymoon (Friend Vacation) and got married 2 weeks later.

And Deanna had her Baby.

Meet Kairi. She is perfect and adorable and I want to hold her forever. She was born at 1:21 am on July 18th. She weighed 6 lbs 6 oz and is 17 inches long.

2 years!

2 years ago the world was introduced to an amazing little boy.

Yesterday was Zacks birthday and we had a great time celebrating his life. His birthday was a Handy Manny theme; which is his favorite Disney show. Every morning he says Hanny Manny... Tools? It's so cute. I made the decorations and luckily some of the party stores still had Handy Manny plates and napkins to go with our theme. We invited family and some friends from the neighborhood. For his birthday we had pizza, salad and watermelon. Zack loves pizza! Since Zack is still too young to understand most games we ate and then had a pinata for the little kids to hit. Zack's cousin Tyler was the one that finally broke the pinata. It was a lot of fun!

It's been a fun and eventful 2 years with Zack. Zack really is an amazing little boy. Every day he makes us laugh. He's silly, smart and very athletic. He tries to negotiate things with us. Every morning he wakes up and says Juice? So I tell him Milk. After going back and forth he'll eventually say okay to Milk. But once he's finished his milk he's back to wanting juice again. Zack is also our own personal parrot. He will repeat pretty much anything you say to him. He's starting to put words together and uses more sentances which has been fun. Zack has also figured out how to unlock the front door deadbolt which is pretty scary. I worry about taking waking up later then Zack or showers and having Zack escaping (hasn't happened yet... knock on wood). We've tried those little balls on the front doorknob but it didn't take Zack very long to get it off. Zack also loves the pool (100% improvement from last year). We mostly play on the stairs where he doesn't have to get completely wet. We still have issues washing Zack's hair but it's a work in progress.

Within the past week or so I've started working with Zack on potting training. It's a work in progress. He's peed in the toilet a few times. He mostly tells me he has to pee after he's wet his underware, but that means he's learning and soon he'll be able to tell me before hand.
Happy Birthday Zack, Mom and Dad and Gavin love you very much!!!
