This is what my oldest looks like when he dresses himself so he can return a movie to redbox with daddy.
He's also been taking more responsibility when he has potty "accidents". Which also means that he changes his pants 3-4 times a day. Sometimes he changes just because he can, but tells me that his clothes are all wet when really they aren't. I do have to make sure that he's wearing underware because he does forget to put those on a time or two.
I love this boy and he makes me laugh everyday.

Weddings are mini reunions
I love any reason to get together as a family and have fun. I love weddings! Two people getting married and starting a family is a wonderful event.
We weren't able to make it for the acutal wedding but we did make it to the reception. They were married in the Idaho Falls temple so it's about a 3 1/2 hour drive for us. My mom was kind enough to watch Zack for the weekend. So it was just Jeanette, Gavin and I that drove up for the evening. My dad came later, which I was glad he could because he wasn't sure if he was going to make it. Bob didn't go because he couldn't get off work in time, and I figured it would be a great weekend for him to work on re-building our fence. (which is why my mom watched Zack for the weekend).
This wasn't Zack's first sleepover at my mom's house, just the first one he remembered. We packed him a backpack and got his sleeping bag. He was very excited!
So Jeanette and I made the drive to Idaho. Gavin did really well until we got to Pocatello, then he was done. We took a quick break then hit the road again since we were so close. We made it to the reception about 20 minutes before it started! I love seeing my aunts and uncles and cousins from Idaho and Canada.
We had so much fun hanging out and just goofing off. My grandpa even joined in the fun by the end of the night. Gavin isn't a big fan of people or large groups so he stuck near my most of the night. He did start to warm up to other people though and I was able to sneak away to get things out to of the car a few times.
After the reception we went back to my Aunt and Uncle's house and just hung out and ate pizza. It was so much fun being around everyone. Makes me super excited about the upcoming family reunion!
We left the next afternoon. On the way home Jeanette and I stopped at the firestation that Raymond was working at. It was fun to get some pictures of Gavin on Ogden's newest firetruck. He did a lot better on the way home, the Ogden stop definitly helped.
It was a wonderful quick trip.
A few weekends ago my cousin Cortney married her soulmate Derek.

Flying toys
Just a quick funny story:
Bob and I were sitting on the couch, he was waiting for the NBA Lottery picks and I was flipping through my new cookbooks, Zack was going between jumping on us and running around the living room. Gavin was on the side of the couch where we keep some toys. He must have been looking for a specific toy because all of a sudden toys started flying from the corner. It was hilarious.
He was bent over the box of toys and he was just chucking the toys behind him. Most of them were just going behind him but the smaller toys were flying over the couch. At one point one toy skidded over my head and nearly hit Bob in the face. We are lucky he has good reflexes or he would have been hit in the face. There were toys everywhere when Gavin was finished. He did find what he was looking for (a few hot wheel cars). I couldn't help but laugh at all the small items flying towards us. Of course my laughter encouraged Zack to go "help" Gavin.
I'll admit, it wasn't as funny when Zack was doing it on purpose.

Sleep Routine
It's funny how some kids just decide on their own their sleep routine. Up until Zack figured out how to open doors he had 2 naps a day. Once he figured out the doors naptime was over.
With Gavin we are lucky because he's still in a crib. Not sure exactly when or why we moved Zack to a toddler bed but I think it was about Gavin's age now (maybe a little bit older).
Anyways Gavin has been awesome with bedtimes and naptimes. I'm sure I've said this before and so far we haven't had to much problems with him.
For naptime he usually goes down about 11am. Lately it's been a little bit later, but that's 100% my fault. And when Gavin takes a nap it's 2-3 hours long. We are blessed!
His routine:
Once he starts acting fussy I ask him if he needs to take a nap. His normal answer is a grunt and a head nod.
I then make him a bottle of milk
He drinks the milk
I wrap him in his blanket and give him his binky.
I then carry him to bed and hand him a book.
After that it's up to him as to when he falls asleep. Normally I don't hear a peep from him. The other day I went in to check on him and this is what I found.
So stinking cute! I love that Gavin is such a good sleeper and goes right to bed. He's also pretty predictable with his sleep schedule which helps a ton. I've said this before and I'll say it again Gavin is a true blessing to our family! Just as Zack is a blessing to our family!

Finally Spring
Finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Last week was a nice day so a couple of friends and I went to the park for lunch. It was faboulous! We sat on the grass while the kids played. Gavin was pretty much glued to my side, but what else is new. Unfortunetly I didn't even think about sunscreen when I left my house. Why would I we've been dealing with Winter since last October... LOL.
This is Zack after being at the park for a few hours. Yes I know, bad momma! I'll do better, I have a little bottle of sunscreen on the bag now, so no excuses. I'm also trying to find cute hats for the boys. Any suggestions of where to find some? I don't want the floppy hats, I was thinking baseball type hats or something fabricy with a brim.
And we get to deal with this too.

Gavin has started to enter his terrible two's. When he doesn't get what he wants or things are taken away from him he'll sit on the floor then fall over onto his back and start crying. I can't help but laugh becuase he lays so straight on the floor and just crys. Love this age... LOL.
