Ready... I think

Well I think we are as ready as we can be for our baby to get here.

Yesterday Bob and I bought a Stroller System from Target. It seems like a good car seat and stroller, so we are pretty excited. Now all we need is our little one to put inside it.

Yesterday Bob and I bought a Stroller System from Target. It seems like a good car seat and stroller, so we are pretty excited. Now all we need is our little one to put inside it.

Beginning look at the nursery

We got the nursery painted. Now all that is left is decorating. I'm so excited that our little guy now has his own room. The furniture is made from solid wood and will hopefully last a long time. My mom and I will probably start buying and making the crib stuff. It's so exciting that it's coming together! I'll post final pictures when it's all decorated, but that will probably be right close (or shortly after) he gets here. We are just happy to have the major part finished.

Belly shots!

I took more pictures of my belly to compare to my 16 week belly. I'm actually really surprised how much I've grown. It's exciting that I'm starting to take onthe pregnancy shape!

And today I'm pretty sure I felt our little guy moving. This morning was the most noticable while I was still lying in bed. I was proped up on some pillows and I set my hand on my belly and just as I did I clearly felt a bump right where my hand was. It was amazing! The rest of the day I just felt like he was doing little flips. It's been such a fun feeling. I'm not sure I'm ready for the hard hits yet, but I love the feeling that I'm having right now. I like knowing that he's there.

Baby things done so far:

• Bought some baby clothes - probably too small though. I got newborn clothes but I'm worried we'll have a big baby. Most of my friends have had 8 lb babies. And the clothes I have are for babies that are between 5-8lbs.
• Went to Ikea and looked at some cribs. I'm not sure I'm in love with them. But they are cute.

Sorry for the late update. We did have the ultrasound today. The ultrasound technitition said I'm an overacheiver because they asked me to drink 24oz of water an hour before the ultrasound. I may have gone over the 24 oz by just a little bit. I could barely walk by the time I got to the ultrasound office! I was in so much pain because my bladder was SO full. I ended up having to fill a cup up 3/4 of the way to make my bladder smaller. N0w you try to pee and quit midstream, it was very hard!

We did find out what we are having and are proud to annouce....

I'm still trying to figure out how to load the video that we recieve from the doctors office but the files end in really weird things... like .BUP or .IFO or .VOB so if anyone is a computer whiz and knows how I can upload these to a video website or to youtube PLEASE let me know!

So for now you'll just have to see the pictures that we were given!

Brilliant

I've been a little nervous bringing a baby into our house. I know Abbie will probably have some adjusting to do but I've been worried about him getting into the baby cradle/crib while we sleep. Abbie likes to sleep with us. He sleeps on our bed every night. And sometimes when we wake up he's right next to us. But he also likes to lay on us during the night. For this reason I've been worried about our 20+ pound cat getting into the baby crib and laying on the baby.

Until I found this. It's perfect. It keeps the baby in and the cat out. I won't have to worry about my cat smothing our child.
